By accessing or using SOC2Scout ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and businesses that access or use our services.

SOC2Scout is an informational directory of SOC 2 auditors, ISO 27001 assessors, HIPAA auditors, and PCI-DSS assessors. We aggregate publicly available information about audit firms to help organizations research and contact potential auditors. We are not an auditing firm, staffing agency, referral service, or broker. We do not endorse, certify, vouch for, or make representations about any firm listed in our directory.

Firm profiles on SOC2Scout are compiled from publicly available sources including AICPA records, firm websites, and other public databases. Listing information — including firm descriptions, audit types offered, certifications, and contact details — may not be current or complete.

• We do not verify that listed firms are currently licensed, certified, or in good standing.
• We do not verify that contact information is accurate.
• Listing on SOC2Scout does not constitute an endorsement of any kind.
• Firms do not pay to be listed in the standard directory (paid placements are marked as "Featured").

Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, accounting, compliance, or professional advice. Choosing an auditor is a significant business decision. You should independently verify any firm's credentials, licensing, references, and experience before engaging them. SOC2Scout is a starting point for research — not a substitute for due diligence.

When you submit a quote request through our Site, your contact information is forwarded to the selected auditor firm(s). SOC2Scout is not a party to any agreement you enter into with an auditor firm. We are not responsible for the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any services provided by listed firms.

Firms may pay for "Featured" placement, which positions them more prominently in search results and the Match Wizard. Featured placements are clearly labeled. Payment for featured status does not imply endorsement by SOC2Scout, and we make no representations about featured firms beyond the information displayed in their profiles.

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to scrape, harvest, or collect data for commercial purposes without written permission.
• Submit false or misleading information through any form on the Site.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation.
• Use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to access the Site in a manner that places unreasonable load on our servers.

The SOC2Scout name, logo, site design, editorial content, and original text are owned by SOC2Scout and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent. Directory listing data sourced from public records is not our proprietary content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOC2Scout, its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any information contained herein — including but not limited to damages arising from engaging an auditor firm found through our directory.

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Site shall not exceed $100 USD.

The Site and all content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

The Site contains links to auditor firm websites and other external resources. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms are effective upon posting. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes your acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
